Daycast

v1.8.0

2021/02/10

Fixed:

  1. A couple of users reported that using Ctrl+click on a link within Daycast would cause an attempt to open the app in the browser, which was unsuccessful and weird to boot. Sorry for being awkward, y’all.
  2. Another user reported that when running a time report, the churn spinner—which indicates progress towards fulfilling user requests—only appeared for their initial report. Subsequent report requests showed no progress indicator at all. We fixed that.
  3. Also when in the Time Report view, users noted that if they collapsed the sidebar, the X (to close the view) disappeared. Which perhaps made them feel trapped. The escape route has been restored.

Changed:

  1. We’ve moved the controls for adding and editing Daycast projects from the project dropdown menu to a new tab for projects within Settings.

Added:

  1. You can now create project groups and use them to categorize your projects (by client, department, university class, etc.).
  2. To make managing your projects and project groups easier, we added a new Projects tab in Settings where you can create, edit, and/or delete projects and project groups.
  3. Business operations folks can now run payroll reports. Access the Payroll Report from the reports glyph (where you access the Time Report).
